about

I guess I'm saying that there's a whole lot of different facets that make me. The good and the bad and the silly. I think that's how we all are. And this song is in part about not judging a book by its cover and in part about me, as the book, (you, as the book) having the curiosity to turn the page, see what today brings. Our stories are constantly unfolding...

lyrics

I always dreamt about what would happen
between the covers, of my life.
I always laughed out loud to think it’d happen
Just the way I planned in the corners of my mind.

But I’d be damned if I missed one day.
Let it pass me by.

Turn the page
See what’s next
You never know what you’re gonna get.
There’s a whole lot going on here.
The beauty, the sadness
The quiet, the madness -
This is me Between the Covers.

So many twists and turns blind-siding me
Just made me stronger inside.
All the choices made, and the dreams on hold,
Because it wasn’t the right time.

I could stop and just shut the book
But there’s life in every line.

With every word
And every breath
There’s so much left to be written…

Turn the page
See what’s next
You never know what you’re gonna get
There’s a whole lot going on here….
A little luck, a lot of faith
And the chance to taste
The beauty, the sadness
The quiet, the madness,
This is me
Between the covers.

This is me between the covers.

about

Morgan Bracy Nashville, Tennessee

Folk-pop songstress Morgan Bracy gives a power punch with her sophomore release - End of Cinderella, which she created with Grammy-nominated producer, engineer, and writer John Merchant (Mika, Celine Dion, Toni Braxton, The BeeGees) and heavy-hitting Nashville writers and musicians. It's a lush, thematic album that reads much like a fairy tale...gone wrong...and then turned back on itself. ... more
